Leicester boss Pearson slams journalist: I think you're an ostrich!

The Leicester City manager reacted angrily to a question relating to the criticism and his players have faced, suggesting the reporter in question must have his head in the sand.Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson labelled a journalist an "ostrich" in a bizarre rant in his post-match press conference following Wednesday's 3-1 defeat to Chelsea.

Pearson, who has had similarly brittle encounters with reporters earlier this season, was unhappy at a question related to comments regarding "the amount of criticism and negativity [his players] have endured over the course of the season."
"Have you been on holiday for six months?" the 51-year-old asked, before adding: "If you don’t know the answer to that question then I think you are an ostrich. Your head must be in the sand.
"You have been here often enough and for you to ask that question, you are either being very, very silly or you are being absolutely stupid, one of the two. For you to ask that question, I am sorry son, you are daft.
The Leicester manager walked out of the press conference soon after, refusing to answer any further questions. His team remain one point above the drop zone with four games of the season remaining.
