Thohir pens open letter to Inter fans: I will continue to invest

The Indonesian has lashed out at "misleading and inaccurate information" circulating in the Italian press about his transfer plans.Erick Thohir has written an open letter to Inter fans to reassure them that there is nothing improper about his business practices and that he remains fully committed to investing further money into the club.On Wednesday, the Corriere della Sera ran a special investigative report on the Indonesian's finances, claiming that he earns €1.78 million per year on money he loaned to the Nerazzurri.
The Italian newspaper also cast doubt on Thohir's previously stated plan to invest heavily in Roberto Mancini's playing squad this summer. However, the 44-year-old Jakarta native has now hit back, insisting that he remains determined to restore the San Siro side to its former glory.Dear Inter Fans,In the last few days misleading and inaccurate information has circulated about the way my Group runs its business, and about my will to keep on supporting Inter in the future. If somebody thinks that this kind of story will distract us from achieving important results for Inter, then they are wrong. My group has businesses worldwide and I have invested in Italy in the same way as I did successfully in the US and other countries. It is my duty and, more importantly, my will as shareholder, to invest in Inter. This is what we have been doing since Day 1 and what we will keep on doing for the years ahead, ensuring capital and management. We will continue to work towards strengthening the solidity of the Club and ensuring that Roberto Mancini can have the highest quality and most competitive team on the pitch, and giving better performances for you, Inter fans, all around the world.Thohir's International Sports Capital acquired a majority stake in Inter in October 2013 and he formally succeeded former owner Massimo Moratti as president the following month.
