Uefa pull Figo out of Ultimate Champions Match at Barcelona's request

The former Portugal star had been due to represent the Spanish champions, but has been pulled out after his inclusion led to uproar among fans.Luis Figo will not be representing Barcelona in Friday's Ultimate Champions Match in Berlin after the Catalans objected to his inclusion.The 42-year-old had initially been named in a team of Juventus and Barcelona legends that will take on a side of world all-stars ahead of Saturday's Champions League final in Berlin.However, Figo's inclusion led to a storm of protest among Barcelona fans and Uefa has now decided to remove him from the roster at the Spanish champions' request.Figo enjoyed a successful spell with Barcelona between 1995 and 2000, but became a hated figure at Camp Nou when he decided to leave the club for arch-rivals Real Madrid.
