Arsenal out for more midfield reinforcements after Elneny arrival

The Gunners continue to monitor long-term targets such as Victor Wanyama, William Carvalho and Lars Bender and could bolster their ranks again in the summer.Arsenal will look to further bolster their midfield in the summer despite signing Mohamed Elneny from Basel, according to the Daily Telegraph. The Gunners wrapped up a deal worth a reported £5 million deal for the Egyptian on Thursday but could be back in the market at the end of the season with the future of a number of their current players in doubt.

Tomas Rosicky, Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini are all likely to leave the Emirates Stadium when their contracts expire in June and Jack Wilshere's injury problems have not improved.Long-term targets such as Victor Wanyama, Lars Bender and William Carvalho are therefore being monitored with a view to eventually moving Elneny into a more creative role.
