Rooney led Manchester United's half-time rant against Liverpool

Wayne Rooney sparked Manchester United’s dressing room into life with a motivation speech at half-time in the win over Liverpool, according to The Sun.The report claims that the England and United captain ‘took charge’ of the dressing room in Sunday’s 1-0 victory at Anfield, and told his team-mates what needed to be done after a woeful opening 45 minutes.It’s also claimed that Liverpool’s players could even hear shouting from United’s dressing room because of the heated exchange.

Louis van Gaal also relayed his tactical instructions during the interval but Rooney had a major involvement in what was said and was backed up by Ashley Young.
