Arsene Wenger has topped the Ballon d'Or votes for Premier League managers, with over 60 votes in his favour across players, coaches and journalists.Luis Enrique picked up the award after guiding Barcelona to five trophies during 2015, with Bayern Munich's Pep Guardiola and and Chile's Jorge Sampaoli, who guided Chile to Copa America victory, trailing him.But Wenger, whose Arsenal side claimed a second consecutive FA Cup in May and currently top the Premier League, racked up 61 votes, though Jose Mourinho, who was recently sacked by Chelsea, earned far more.Wenger was first choice among the captains of British Virgin Islands, New Caledonia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Tunisia and Uganda and the head coaches of Bhutan, Ghana and Guam.
The Arsenal manager has been a vocal critic of the Ballon d'Or in the past, and just 12 months ago insisted he is not a fan of individual honours as he prefers rewarding the team game.He said: "I am totally against the Ballon d'Or, I am a team-lover. I would not vote for anyone, I am completely against it."
